Inspected AstroABS

One pound of natural colored filament that has been selected for in-space use and passed Made In Space’s quality assurance processes.

This filament has been hand inspected by Made In Space engineers to reduce the risk of consistency issues that could compromise a nominal print. This was not a requirement for space qualification but a step Made In Space took in order to further mitigate potential errors.

Selected for use in NASA’s 3D Printing in Zero-Gravity Technology Demonstration, this top quality filament is spooled and ready for your 3d printer. Made In Space’s filament is formulated for sustained precision 3D printing with a quality finish. This high integrity filament is made with strict dimensional accuracy, so you can rest assured that extrusion will be a smooth process.

This filament is compatible with ABS-capable 3D printers. ABS is one of the most common materials used in 3D printing. It is the same material used in Lego bricks and is an ideal material for printing strong, temperature resistant, usable 3D parts. Items made with ABS are very durable, withstand a wide range of temperatures, and tend to be more flexible and less ‘brittle’ than those in PLA.
